Overview of Position:
The Microscope Solutions Division (MS) of Nikon Canada is seeking a Service Consignment Specialist reporting to the Service Manager, Microscope Solutions. The incumbent will primarily be responsible for all Service consignment support/management, in office repairs, service reporting, quality control and logistics for the Microscope Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Microscope Solutions for Service Consignment inventory and distribution. Is responsible for the quality, condition, allocation, and shipping of all the MS consignments.
  • Work with Service manager and Service Operations Coordinator to manage and service in house microscope repairs, including consignment, inventory, and customer orders.
  • Maintain and help develop service web-based reporting system for all service and support activities. Run weekly and monthly reports as well as input build sheets and custom forms.
  • Assist in in-field installations and packing of consignment and systems installations as required. Working with senior field support specialists or local representatives.
  • Warehouse maintenance and organization of consignment as well as support for NCI distribution Coordinators as required.
  • Performs additional tasks, Special Projects and duties as requested by Service Manager and/or General Manager

Essential Knowledge, Abilities, and Experience:

  • Masters in science preferred.  Bachelor with Microscope experience. French would be an asset.
  • Comfortable within a Windows environment such as but not limited to: Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of working with SAP an asset. Experience with computer software and building computer hardware.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is conducted in a desk setting, warehouse environment, in service bay and up to 25% in the field with the possibility for overnight periods. Exposure to laser systems may be required. Job training will require occasional overnight travel to the U.S. for 3–4-day periods as required.
