Overview of Position:
The Import & Export Analyst will ensure Nikon Canada's compliance with all import and export related issues governed by Canada, US and International government regulations. They will coordinate inbound and outbound logistics services, maintain target lead time, and make positive contribution to overall performance of the department. This role is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates all custom and logistics activities related to import and export for Imaging Division and Microscope Solution Division.
- Maintains HS Tariff Classification database and also establish new codes for new product.
- Monitors and ensures Nikon's compliance with Canada Border Services Agency and International Trade Canada Import and Export regulations.
- Audits custom broker invoices to ensure compliance and liaise with custom brokers to ensure accurate delivery of product.
- Researches transportation service providers, negotiates rates and monitors performance to maintain timely delivery from factory and to the customers.
Essential Knowledge, Abilities, and Experience:
- College or University Degree along with 5 plus years of work-related experience preferred. Experience in inventory management an asset along with experience in import/export trade practices including customs and transportation. Canada Border Services (CBSA) certification would be an asset.
- Proficient in a Windows environment such as Excel, Word and Outlook. Working knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
- During a typical work day this position requires the routine collection and transmittal of information within the scope of well-defined company policies and procedures. Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills required. Bilingual in English/Japanese an asset.
Working Conditions:
