Make the most of your images and videos

View your images and videos with the same excitement you had when you shot them. Nikon ViewNX-i software lets you browse still image and video files, edit still images via Capture NX-D or video files via ViewNX-Movie Editor. You can also perform image processing within ViewNX-i. ViewNX-i allows you to easily switch between workspaces and the Output Bar, smoothly edit images and video using the Photo Tray to keep files organized, create slideshows that include stills, video, music and titles, map your travels with GPS enabled cameras and share files quickly and seamlessly to Nikon Image Space and other sites. The software is compatible with all current and previous Nikon cameras that can output a .NEF or .NRW (RAW), JPG or TIFF image files and .MOV and .AVI video files; and it supports the sidecar file format for non-destructive editing just like Capture NX-D.

Simple to use interface lets you organize images and videos with ease

ViewNX-i is the ideal software for browsing and organizing your still photos and videos. Tabs allow you to quickly switch between the Browse, Map and Web Service workspaces, the Output Bar gives you instant access to image editing functions using Capture NX-D, video editing capabilities using ViewNX-Movie Editor, printing and uploading of images. See file settings in a window that replicates the layout of the settings shown on your camera's LCD. Use the Photo Tray to temporarily store files from multiple folders, making it easy to edit images shot over time. Choose from a variety of display options that allow you to personalize your workspace—even use a second monitor for display.

Integrate seamlessly with your current workflow

Because ViewNX-i uses the same sidecar file format that is used in Capture NX-D's RAW image processing software, all editing is non-destructive. Make adjustments to RAW (.NEF or .NRW) files and convert to JPG or TIFF for easy export. Image processing is easy with the simple click of the edit button on the Output Bar, which launches Capture NX-D. Even quickly create contact sheets to print. ViewNX-i is also compatible with Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 software; making post-production workflow smoother when shooting with the camera tethered or wirelessly connected to a computer. Upload images to Nikon Image Space and other websites directly within ViewNX-i. (Facebook integration will be included with future versions.) Stills and movies with location information can be displayed on a map; and even if you used a camera that isn't GPS enabled, you can use the Log Matching function to attach location information as well as track routes.
