AF-S Teleconverter TC800-1.25E ED is a dedicated teleconverter, designed specifically for use with the AF-S NIKKOR 800mm f/5.6E FL ED VR lens and tuned together with the lens to maximize optical and AF performance.
Nikon's first teleconverter to employ an ED glass element, to correct chromatic abberations.
Minimum focus distance is 5.9 meters from the focal plane (5.8 meters in manual focus) when connected to the AF-S NIKKOR 800mm f/5.6E FL ED VR lens.
Autofocus is possible when attached to f/8 compatible cameras.
